Paqueta reveals his injury is “just a scare”

By Hughie Southon
Lucas Paqueta reckons he will be back from injury in two weeks.
The Brazilian has been writing on his Instagram and making it clear the problem is not as serious as some may have believed.
Davis Moyes was vague in declaring that the No 11 had a problem with his upper chest and shoulder but we revealed this morning that nothing was broken according to a London Stadium source. Now however the player has given his own update and the news is as good as fans could have hoped.
The player was injured in the game against Southampton and was missing from the match at Liverpool but hopefully his prediction of being back quickly will be proved correct.
And it would certainly mean that he would be fit to join Brazil for the World Cup tournament in Qatar which some believed he would miss as a result of the knock.
Writing on Instagram Paqueta said:“ Good evening all my people. Last West Ham game against Southampton I suffered a right clavicle injury, I got checked out today and the scan came up with a ligament injury.
I’m fine, it was just a scare.  I am out for the next two weeks but I’m back soon and I’ll be back on the field with the Hammers!!! Thanks, everyone for the messages!”
