Lucas Paqueta‘s future at West Ham is shrouded in doubt after reports emerged suggesting the Brazilian midfielder is still pushing for a loan move to Flamengo in his home country. This comes as a surprise to West Ham, who have publicly backed Paqueta throughout his off-field struggles with a betting scandal last year.

Despite the allegations, West Ham offered unwavering support, hoping to help him navigate the situation and rediscover his form on the pitch. While his performances last season weren’t what many expected, the club remained patient, attributing it to the stress of the ongoing case.

However, Paqueta’s reported desire to return to Brazil on loan has left West Ham baffled. Flamengo’s financial limitations make a permanent transfer unlikely, and a potential worldwide ban looms large if Paqueta is found guilty. Additionally, Paqueta has previously conducted himself with respect towards the club, even during past transfer window discussions.

Sources close to the club suggest West Ham are unlikely to entertain a loan deal. Flamengo’s inability to afford his wages and the potential consequences of the betting case make a move impractical. Furthermore, Paqueta’s past behaviour suggests he wouldn’t force a messy exit.

With the rumour mill churning, all eyes are now on official channels. Negotiations between the two clubs, if any take place, remain undisclosed. West Ham is expected to address the situation publicly if Paqueta’s push for a move intensifies. Until then, the future of the talented midfielder remains a source of confusion and disappointment for West Ham fans.

If there is an element of truth to this then I’m afraid the man is classless. Huge transfer fee, massive wages and a long wait for him to get up to speed in the Prem are three good reasons why he should show some commitment and get his head down regardless of what’s going on at the moment.

While the rest of the team show a true worth ethic and professionalism (Bowen leading the line here) he continues to throw himself about, scream at every tiny bit of contact and constantly argue with the officials.

I want to love him in Claret and Blue but my patience was worn thin. The straw that broke the camel’s back for me was the TOTALLY unnecessary and petulant booking in the first leg against Bayer Leverkusen which saw him suspended for the second leg.

  • Kevlar says:

Paqueta should shut up angling for a move and show some gratitude to west ham for supporting him through this ordeal. On his day he’s a game changer but he’s not really worth the hassle! If he’s cleared I would sell him straight away west ham shouldn’t want to associate themselves with these type of characters. They are ungrateful mercenaries and only look after themselves! City are welcome to him just send a bank transfer for £85m

This is a made up story.
You have no idea if any of this is true. No actual proof and if you search for it online there is just one click bait site after another, this one included, running the same story with no actual source. Don’t be so gullible. Especially with this site. Pretty much most of what you read is made up to get readers.
But here everyone is, article after article, venting their anger and frustration at the Club, the Manager, and the players over fake click bait stories.
    I don’t understand that.

And another pointless article on a rumour but trying to make something out of nothing that some gullible fans will believe as fact

Do you guys get abusive on other websites that are making the same claims? I suspect not. Why don’t you get a life

  • ColJ says:

Why report on something which you do not have any idea whether it is true or not? Have you heard Paqueta come out and say he wants to go out on loan? Have you heard the club say that he is pushing for a move? Just another pile of rubbish published which probably has little to no truth yet you manage to rile the fan base and start to turn on our own players.

Ungrateful in my opinion , why should we loose either the player or 80 odd million in transfers . Also he may well be found innocent . Plus he has a contract ‘

  • Phil Baker says:

Brazilian dodgy deals , Westham must be more careful . There’s a reason that no one else came in for Paqueta . No due diligence from Westham as opposed to Man City who found out early that there was a Paqueta problem .

  • Chunk says:

I think personally that we need to get rid of Paqueta and ASAP. I know the charge looms over him and restricts many things but I can’t help but think we might have another Payet situation on our hands. He obviously doesn’t want to be here.

  • John Ayris says:

Flamengo are not as on their uppers as these articles suggest. They are Brazils richest and most valuable club.

Revenue 218 Million Euros, valued at 691 Million Euros.

They’re about as big as Everton and Newcastle.

    • Col says:

What u smoking, Newcastle are richest club in the world, they can’t get no where he’s wages ,
