Parkesy: “We need the deadly duo against United”

|

PParkesPhil Parkes has urged manager Sam Allardyce to return the deadly duo – Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia to the top of the Irons attack on Sunday.

He believes Manchester United is a match made for the pace and mobility of the pair declaring: “Their defence could really struggle against those two.”

United have been getting some results and it’s always a tough game but Sak and Valencia bring so much to the party and have more to unsettle United than most.

Speaking exclusively to ClaretandHugh he said: “We’ve only beaten Leicester, Hull and Bristol City in our last 11 games and this would be a good game to kick start things again but I think it will need those two in the team if we are to manage it.

“I was at my old club QPR for the recent visit of United and I thought their defence was absolutely awful – Diafra and Enner could really move it about . I just hope that’s the way Sam Allardyce decides to play it.”

Been saying all this since the day Carroll and Nolan came back but I believe now, Sam will risk the sack rather than admit he is wrong and Mremember he fought Sullivan to get Carroll and said he would build the team around him.
Then Sakho threw a spanner in the works by turning into the signing of the summer and forming one of the best striker pairs in the PL.
So now Sam has to keep finding ways to keep them apart, otherwise there’s no place for his boy.
So far he’s been dead lucky in that other circumstances have made it easy but now, with Carroll injured and the other two fit he has a big headache

Parkesy would you like a job because there should be BFS avaliable any time now and you have more vision,
Old iron I can’t believe you have Nolan on the bench BFS would make a change after 2 mins if he sees him there, best he watches from the stand and gets some clues what a midfield player really does.

Well said Parkesy, your thought is the same of all fans (or nearly all of them) . Exept BFS, but he’s not a fan not even a manager. What is he? I don’t know…

About sums it up.Everyone in football knows when we play at our best except Sam.Its almost got to the point of being embarassing.Pundits, fans, everyone can see it apart from one man & this is the exact reason for people being fed up with him.We find a winning formula & he destroys it.How can anyone say this dinosaur has our clubs best interests at heart. He just plays games & wants to prove to everyone he will do things his way & not what others tell him to do or wish him to do.A blog on another site called im a diaease in our club.I think that is a bit strong, but i can certainly see the sentiments behind this assesment of him.I can see the only reasons for his team selections & formations is to stick two fingers up at his detractors, unfortunately it is at the expense of our club. But there again what should we expect from a man that said the West Ham way is a myth.He has no passion for our football club & the sooner he takes his lazy long ball tactics with him the better 🙂

As for Sunday the team should realistically be :
    adrian / jenkinson / reid / tomkins / cresswell / kouyate / song / amalfatino / downing / sakho & valencia.

    with subs : Jussi / demel / collins / noble / nolan & cole

I believe this fiasco with Sakho and Senegal was just to placate Senegal so that Blatter could still rely on their vote in the coming FIFA elections.
West Ham had kept them informed throughout and it is just a small country flexing its supposed mucle and keeping in with Blatter.
Why no sanctions for Leicester , as they withdrew Schlopp from Ghana through injury and promptly played him in their next game where he scored the winner I believe, at least Sakho missed a few games for West Ham because he was genuinely injured, as for his recovery, well these things happen , unlike Schlopp who withdrew and then played soon after , missing no games at all for Leicester, but nothing happens to them. WHY

With Diafra and Enner up front and no nolan we might just have a chance…COYI
