“Pathetic” | Stitched-Up Kudus Hit With Extended Ban

West Ham starboy Mohammed Kudus has been punished with a further two-match ban after admitting a charge of violent conduct following his red card against Tottenham last month.

One can only assume the reason he admitted the charge of violent conduct was to receive a reduced ban, considering he was guilty of nothing more sever than a push. I may be a biased West Ham fan, but having watched footage of the incident back numerous times, I am convinced that Mickey Van de Ven pushed Kudus with far more force than the Ghanaian retaliated with.

The big Spurs defender claimed he felt a punch in the face, and quite how anyone has allowed this charade to continue is beyond me. The Hammers winger undoubtedly deserved the red card, but the way Tottenham players threw themselves to the ground was an embarrassment. Unfortunately it would appear that whilst Kudus absolutely lost control, it is he who is being punished despite not being the player who initiated the shoving.

The additional suspension takes the winger’s ban to five games in total, meaning he will not play again until the Leicester match on December 3.

Kudus has also been hit with a £60,000 fine for kicking out at Van de Ven and sparking the skirmish, but the Dutchman was far from innocent, undoubtedly escalating the scuffle with his initial shove.

Spot on mate, but then there is a lot of one sided decisions from ref’s and I’m not just taking about West Ham! Bringing in another players issue at West Ham, do anyone check ref’s for betting? These strange decisions make you ask the question.

What a load of rubbish .. Red card well deserved but the behaviour of the cheating spuds players was abysmal and the play acting and baiting was the catalyst for the afters . Once again the FA have got it wrong . The push on the spuds clog was not enough to knock him off his feet and writhe around as though Tyson had nailed him . Ref and FA conned again . Kudus needs to grow up as well as he is now sure to be targetted. How much longer have we got to suffer second best ( cheapest ) manager , strikers and midfielders . Steiden thinks numbers are better than quality .. The Kraut , Soler , Rodriquez ..what a waste of money on the wage bill . COYI .

Kudus lost his head and lost control,it wasn’t just his reaction to Van Den Ven he also had a pop at another Spurs player by pushing him in the face too.
The FA are very hot on any contact/pushing whatever you call it in someone’s face so this extended ban is expected.
Makes no difference at the moment if he’s playing or not all the players have been shi#te this season and if he was playing against Newcastle and Arsenal we would still lose.

I don’t understand how you can get so upset about Kudus’ ban but keep quiet week after week of watching the antics that European and South American players have infected the game with. Now they all do it because there is no punishment. Players are told, if you feel contact, drop to the floor. Referees are as much to blame as the Premier League and FIFA. Spurs are certainly one of the more pathetically theatrical teams at the moment. No doubt it all brings the game into disrepute and only sending them off will stop it.

i think we can count ourselves lucky that it is only a further two matches and no more than that

Touch another player’s face with your hands and you know what’s coming

Do it twice, as Kudus did, then the punishment will be severe

Van de Ven did have a go at Kudus but he didn’t aim for his face… massive difference

Take it and we move on

What a load of bs kick a player twice whilst his on the ground red card, pushing he’s hands into he’s face red card then pushing he’s hands into another player’s face another red card I think he got let of lightly. Yes the player went down as if he’d been punched by Tyson but every player would have done that so don’t try to make excuses for him

What do you expect at sp*rs where there is a long tradition of simulation aka cheating. Deli Ali, Kane and the Cheating Chinaman have set the example and the latter is now their Captain.

  • American Hammer says:

Given the rules of the game, this punishment is not “pathetic”.
Kudos DID kick a player while down, AND raised his hands to an opponent’s face.
Both of these actions are considered violent conduct. Bar none.
As for the rest of the players making a meal of this situation by rolling around on the floor they should feel ashamed.
    But they won’t.
What the game could TRULY use, at the moment, is more cards for “simulation”.

No. It was Kudus’ behaviour that was pathetic. Had he not acted like a spoilt 4 year old in the first place, he wouldn’t have given the ref or the PL a decision to make. Grow up Kudus.

  • Pete Cumby says:

Van Der Ven is pathetic and a cheat claiming to have been punched! Can you imagine that incident in rugby, he would have been laughed at! In my opinion he caused the ruckus with his “girl” reaction.
