Payet could be on the bench today

BilandpayWest Ham joint Chairman, David Gold says Dimitri Payet could be on the bench against Juventus today at the London Stadium and has a good chance playing against Chelsea for our first Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking on twitter Gold said “Payet could be on the bench tomorrow and has a good chance of playing a part against Chelsea. dg”

Payet only retuned to training yesterday after his break after playing so well in the Euro 2016 championships. All players are contractually entitled to three weeks holiday to rest. The Euro 2016 final was held on 10th July so Monday 1st August was the very earliest he could have returned to training.

Rumours started on the Internet that Payet was missing or that he submitted a transfer request on Monday, both were false and he insists he remains happy at West Ham despite world wide media interest and speculation.

  1. Let’s hope so , we are going to need him on Monday !
All the chelskie mob have been back training and playing , ??

  2. Think they’ve more new players to bed in / plus a new manager / plus coming off a bad last season – it’s a good time to play them.
