Dimitri Payet will be forced to go under the knife to “sort out” the ankle injury which will see him out of action for the next three months.

ClaretandHugh has learned the brilliant French midfielder will be forced to undergo surgery in the near future after the horror tackle by Everton’s James McCarthy.

Last night we were told by our best Hammers source the club were fearing the worst outcome and the same insider has revealed to us tonight the surgery is an urgent requirement.

He said: “Dimi has damaged ankle ligaments and will definitely need an operation to sort it out. It’s a huge disappointment to everybody.”

Chairman’s son Jack Sullivan broke the news on Twitter earlier tonight but this is the first time the specific details of the injury and required treatment have been revealed.

We were told: “The timetable for his recovery is three months but if he’s a quick healer it could be a little earlier.”

Not even a apology from the coward !!

It was very obvious from kick off that Payet was an Everton target. The tackle was disgraceful. The referee was disgraceful. Everton were disgraceful. McCarthy should be ashamed of himself. Our luck never seems to change. But we can overcome. COYI

We all knew that teams were finding it very difficult to handle the skills Payet has so a tackle like this one was bound to happen all it needed was a thug in a football kit like McCarthy to come along to comit it 🙁
