West Ham fans look likely to spring a small surprise as voting continues in a Dimi Payet “stay or sell” poll on Irons website ClaretandHugh.
With the France midfielder claiming in a TV interview that he wouldn’t close the door on a possible move, Hammers fans were expected to vote heavily for him to stay.
Accusations from such as Sky pundits Paul Merson and Phil Thomson that the Irons were becoming a one team feathers had definitely ruffled feathers among the supporters.
As a result CandH launched a poll in which is asked: “Should we sell him if the price is right?”
Most expected a runaway “keep him” vote but after voting passed more than 1,000 the lead – whilst sizeable – was narrower than the landslide many expected.
A total of 600 votes (59.7 per cent) ad voted for him to stay at 3 pm on Tuesday with 364 or 36.22 per cent saying – “sell” and a further 4.08 per cent registering a don’t know vote.

Well this is complete madness. Why would we ever agree to flog Payet? A miserable Payet is still better than most. And the money we would get would be wasted on more second rate clowns who either are crap, permanently injured, sulking or all of the above. Sell China Doll, send Tore back and give Sakho and Ayew a run together. Pace and movement from deep, not a glass statue up front.

I didn’t vote in the idiotic poll which asked if we should keep or sell our best player. It is like asking should we have kept or sold Pauli dicanio. This is a player who has lit up the premier league, who fans of any team in the world would want playing in their team.
How many times over the years have we been able to say that West Ham have one of the best players in the world? how many jealous fans of other clubs voted in this poll I wonder.
Everyone is entitled to express his own opinion, but I have checked the result the poll again… still nearly 40% against Payet… sorry, but it doesn’t make sense imho… I was so bored with all those useless, average players under the BFS reign, anyone with that something special, that spark that is the essence of football… and now we’ve got Payet, the light, the brilliance and you want to sell him?
