Payet shocker as CandH poll nears its end

|

michail-antonio-west-ham-stoke_3387473Michail Antonio looks set to run out a clear winner of Claretandhugh’s Christmas Day Poll: Who is Hammer of the Year so far?

But the big shock is that Dimi Payet barely figures in the poll, gathering just 20 votes of  the near 700 cast during the last few hours

The brilliantly versatile Michail who has played right wing, centre forward and right back for the club so far is leading the way with 326 votes (50.7pc).

In second place is the season’s surprise packet Pedro Obiang whose fine performances in midfield have seen him collect 154 votes (23.95 pc).

Central defender Winston Reid is a distant third with 85 votes (13.22 per cent). The remaining ‘contenders’- Aaron Cresswell, Angelo Ogbonna, Mark Noble, Manu Lanzini, Darren Randolph and Simone Zaza managed just 60 votes between them.

The poll at https://www.claretandhugh.info/christmas-day-poll/ closes at 7.30 pm on Christmas evening.
