Stuart Pearce has revealed exactly why West Ham have been in such excellent form: Sheer hard work!
The Irons have enjoyed a superb start to the campaign and are currently fifth in the Premier League table, just four points behind leaders Spurs.
The last defeat came against Liverpool, with the Irons unbeaten in their last three, beating Fulham, Sheffield United, and Aston Villa.
Manchester United are up next on Saturday afternoon and Moyes’ men can move third with a win if other results fall their way.
Pearce went on talkSPORT to talk about the club’s form, and how they have enjoyed such an excellent run of form under manager David Moyes, and revealed that the secret is relatively simple, really!
He said: “David’s done a wonderful job. I’m biased. I work with him on a daily basis. He’s done brilliantly but the players’ application and their togetherness has been fantastic, I’ve got to say.
“It’s a really good team ethic, the players are very receptive to take messages on board that Dave puts into them. To be fair, there’s just a nice feel good around the club at the moment and I say that, and I’m talking about staff members and everybody, it’s a really pleasurable place to come into work. We are certainly built on togetherness, team shape, and hard work, and we can’t lose track of that.”
The Hammers have lost just three times this season, and European hopes are well and truly alive.
A win over United would certainly propel the Irons even further into the conversation.
