WEST HAM are reported today as having sent Stuart Pearce to scout Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker in Begium yesterday.
The Hammers assistant boss was reportedly at the Jan Breydel stadium to see Anderlecht beat Club Brugge yesterday.
Belgian media outlet Het Nieuwsblad say Pearce was there to run the rule over the 23-year-old midfielder.
Dendoncker is keen to make a move to the Premier League and the Hammers will be hoping he doesn’t come to the attention of many during the World Cup.
The club bid around £18 million during the winter window with the Belgian club holding out for £25 million but David Moyes’ interest in the player is obvious.
Crystal Palace and Everton are also monitoring his situation but the ‘London Factor’ is a big plus for the Irons who can expect to push their interest to the limits this summer.
That Pearce was delegated to take a look at the player suggests that Moyes is ready to sign a new deal with the club.
Then sign him before the World Cup, simples.
I would think that his representatives would advise him against that.
We will probably offer 9 million, 3 million, in cash, balance over two years depending on appearances and if we make the champions league.
We have been made a laughing stock in Europe thanks to DS.
Praps u can tell me why we offered 18m up front in Jan
