Pelle looking at bright summer options

Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini looks set to have a fully fit squad for pre-season in which he plans to take a close up look at Winston Reid, Josh Cullen and Edmilson Fernandes.

Reid has been out for an entire season of course but the manager will give the 30 year old every chance to show he is ready to play a part in next season’s campaign.

He suffered a knee injury during a game at Swansea last March but his rehab – after a challenging absence – is now complete and he was running alongside the first team towards the end of last season.

Both he and long term injury stricken Andriy Yarmolenko are likely to be included for The Premier League Asia Cup Trophy in Hong Kong

Pellegrini brought Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena together very successfully last season and Angelo Ogbonna also did well but a fit and firing Reid would be a real bonus and the manager will give the central defender every chance to get back to full match fitness.

Cullen is being recalled from Charlton and Fernandes look certain to be brought back from Fiornentina who are still pondering offering the player a permanent deal.
