Pelle may be ready to give nod to a big favourite

Manuel Pellegrini is refusing to give up on injury ravaged Jack Wilshere despite recent reports that the player could be attracted to an American or Chinese move.

The manager remains a huge fan of the 27 year who – as reported elsewhere on the site – is now back in full training with the first team squad.

And there are big suggestions that should Mark Noble fail to make it into the starting line up, it will be the former Gunner who will be called upon to partner Declan Rice in midfield against the north Londoners.

At least there will be no love lost should that be the case for as a former Gunner  Jack will be very keen indeed to put it over his of and possibly fiercest rivals.

We understand that Pelle remains very keen on the player despite his injury situation since joining the club with a source telling us on the ‘phone: “He’s always been a massive fan and refuses to give up on Jack.”

  1. Fans : Bring out your dead, bring out your dead…

Pellegrini : But he’s not quite dead yet…

    With apologies to Monty Python…😎

  2. If your Career was on the line would you put your faith in Jack Wilshere?

    I mean – really!!

    • If Wilshere could remain fit for more than a couple of weeks, he is a cut above the others we have and could still serve us well. He has what we are sorely lacking in the position: talent PLUS desire.

Pellegrini’s career was already over. He went out to graze in China.

Not sure Rafa’s the answer, either. Too similar and short-term.

We need someone younger, more dynamic and ready to implement a more forward-looking approach, especially with the future of the club in mind.

None of the so-called winners of “retirement age”, fit that bill.

I believe, someone like Eddie Howe, does…….

  3. Very nice write-up. I absolutely appreciate this site.
    Continue the good work!
