Pelle reckons Real made a Ronaldo mistake

Manuel Pellegrini has told his former club Real Madrid that Cristiano Ronaldo took too many goals with him when he left for Juventus.

The Hammers boss has very definite views on the Madrid giants this season where he had one season finishing second with 96 points.

He feels Ronaldo made a mistake swapping Madrid for Turin and Juve saying: “Madrid have lost a lot of goals; Cristiano took too many goals with him when he left.

He should have ended his career in Madrid and I was surprised they allowed him to leave,” he told Spanish radio show El Larguero.

“There is a difference between [Gareth] Bale and Cristiano, who has made the difference for the last 10 years.”

But he appears to believe that a move for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard would pay dividends saying: “He is a player of great quality. He is playing at an extraordinary level and making the difference. He can play at any club in the world.”
