Pelle remains confident and nobody’s going anywhere

|

Nobody is going anywhere…and it may be as well to accept that now and save ourselves a lot of grief!

After 48 hours plus of speculation that one, other or both members of the management team may be on their bikes, the drama was in danger of bubbling over into a very predictable West Ham crisis.

To repeat, nobody is going anywhere and on the training ground the manager is conducting himself in his normal calm and collected manner.

That may not be what everybody wants to read of hear but it’s the reality of a situation as West Ham United approach another important game of football …this time in Lancashire.

It’s a game which represents a hopeful third time lucky after two successive defeats at the end of a week where Pellegrini has been telling anybody who wants to listen that it’s all going to turn out fine.

He’s also been saying that he has confidence in both Roberto and Pablo Fornals but whether either or both play at Burnley we will see at around 2pm on Saturday afternoon.

The word given me was that the manager – whilst giving  this situation very serious attention – remains entirely confident that he has all the resources he required and will turn things around.

However, one element he can do nothing about is Fabianski!

The confidence appears to have leaked away from the team since his Bournemouth injury and it can’t be a coincidence that eight goals have hot the back of the net while he has been missing.

Add to that the fact that he made more saves than any other PL keeper last season and the form slump appears to take on some perspective.

Roberto has made a mix of top saves and unfortunate blunders but with Pellegrini refusing to produce a public panic up maybe we should do the same.

This is probably a dangerous time to write this piece with the chips down again on Saturday but for all that’s been said about him this week, the manager has years of experience to draw on and I’m still backing him to get it right.

In the meantime – as said – nobody’s going anywhere!

In theory it’s great but the problems won’t go away just because we want them to and Roberto won’t become a better keeper over night…sorry but he just isn’t good enough and nothing can change that ..we will all get behind the team again this week, but if we get turned over and the players put in another shameful 90 mins with no desire then it won’t matter what anybody says ..now if we loose the game but they work hard and give everything then that’s a different story..all we fans ask is that they put a shift in..

If he doesn’t go to a back 3 and play Fredricks and Arthur wide with Anderson off Haller we all need to accept he never will and accept we will achieve nothing with this man. Even with that we have no legs in central midfield, Fabian ski has kept the wolves from the door but with him out the pack is gathering. Dyce must be relishing our visit I hope I am wrong …….
