Pelle update

Audi-_quattro-Cup_02West Ham have revealed there is no chance of signing former Southampton striker Graziano Pele in the winter window.

Reports of a move for the player emerged earlier in the day but the Irons have admitted there is no chance of him making the move given his current earnings.

The 32-year-old joined Shandong Luneng for £12million in July 2016 and is on a huge salary at around £13.5m a season but the Chinese side are willing to cut their losses…but Pelle is not!
Manager David Moyes is keen to sign a big front man in the current window but it won’t be Pelle who is set to earn £18 million NET between now and the end of the season.

With Andy Carroll set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, Moyes is looking for a replacement but with the likes of Chelsea unable fulfil the same requirement, there is little chance of the Irons being successful between now and the end of the window.

And unless a deal happens out of the blue Joao Mario may be the only arrival in the current window.

We were told this morning that this has become the most difficult window ever in which to do business despite the club having put in four bids for various players.

The club is know to have bid for Fulham’s Rom Cairney and Anderlecht’s  Leander Dendoncker, Stoke’s Joe Allen  and Bournemouth’s Harry Arter as well as looking at Pelle.

  1. But are the players mentioned valued at our price? Which is peanuts? Or what the market value truly is , in that clubs ” going to the next level ” actually pay ??? In which we clearly don’t but like to haggle or barter for, and lose out in the long run ?
One of the top twenty richest clubs in the world? My arse we are !!!

  2. It is only difficult if you are not prepared to pay for the players. Everyone knows you have to overpay in Jan but the higher we finish the more that money will be repaid. We are short and if we go down then where is your investment and plans then GandS?I cannot think of another team that is as poor as our board is in transfer dealings; if you don’t want to pay the money then find someone who will and sell up.
