Pellegrini fears Carroll ‘belch’ will kill Title dream

CarrollhairflyingManchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is fearing a Hammers hiccup to his Title dream this afternoon with Andy Carroll (right) producing the big belch!

The Manc millionaires need only avoid defeat against us to ensure lifting the Title but their manager said: “Carroll is an important player, West Ham play a lot for him and we must concentrate with our defending.

“Not that it’s the most important thing but we always consider the other team and the characteristics of their players.”

Today is also a massive occasion for West Ham as Sam Allardyce tries to help shake off the possibility of the sack next week with a shock win.

Skipper Kevin Nolan said: “Although it hasn’t gone to plan this year, we expected to be higher because of the signings we made.

“But injuries to key individuals have hit us hard — and I’m not just talking about Andy Carroll.”

He  knows they will have to be at their best today against a City side who put six past them the last time they were at the Etihad.

He said: “The win over Spurs was fantastic. Now we have to go to City and believe. If you lay down another 6-0 could happen.”
