Pellegrini looks set to stick with original decision

Grady Diangana looks set to remain at West Brom until the end of the season.

As reported a couple of days back Diang suffered a back problem in the midlands derby over Birmingham City but is targeting the match against Leeds on New Years Day for his return.

Given recent performances by the Irons and a perceived lack of pace in midfield there has been speculation that he could make an unexpected return to the London Stadium.

But sources inside the Hammers believe that – despite being the managers decision ultimately – believe that to be an unlikely scenario.

Pellegrini is a man who rarely changes his mind on major decisions and the view is that he will stick by his original plan to give the winger a full season at the Hawthorns.

A decision will need to be made between Jan 1 – 14 should there be a change of mind but Claret and Hugh was told by ‘phone: “It’s not been discussed and looks an unlikely proposition.”

  1. 100% the correct decision, it would be so wrong to bring him back when he is playing so well. He needs to continue to build his experience and knowledge in a tough league in a good team. Lets hope he can then make that difference next season.
