Pellegrini needs to solve the Holland dilemma

|

Manuel Pellegrini will receive a report on the form of Nathan Holland over the next few hours and it will be fascinating to see where he goes in the next stage of the young left winger’s development.

The 21 year old put in a fineĀ  performance against Valencia B last night in which he scored the only goal as the u 23s won 1-0.

He may even be temped to put him on the benchin the midlands but the former Everton youth product clearly still has a big job on his hands given that he has to get past Felipe Anderson for a place in the team!

His contract is up next summer after joining the club in 2017 and despite all the huge potential, so regularly discussed, he still has to make that all important breakthrough despite regularly training with the first team and having his own dressing room peg.

The manager may soon have to find a solution to the dilemma should he want to halt any thoughts from Holland that he may be better off moving on.

However, it’s probably a lot more realisticĀ  to believe that his chance may well come in the next Carabao Cup match at Oxford on September 25 rather than at Villa on Monday evening.

I’m totalling routing for Nathan Holland, and pray that he would be truly appreciated by the manager and given the chance to step into the first team … and stay there for many years as his fitness and form last. I am a fan. God bless.

Nathan Holland is the best young player imho since Carrick and Cole burst onto the scene, with Anderson ahead of him its hard to see him starting any league games but we should tie him down to a long contract asap. Would love to see him play against Oxford he deserves a start good luck Nathan !!!
