Pellegrini remains entirely confident

Manuel Pellegrini remains entirely confident that the Hammers will soon be making their way back up the table over the next few weeks.

And he has been repeating an early mantra that he will not fail at West Ham despite a string of seriously poor performances by the team.

The man certainly refuses to panic and according to highly placed sources in the club he has been handing out assurances to the people who matter that all will be well.

We were told by an insider on the phone: “Manuel is a very cool customer privately and publicly – he has also made it very clear to those in charge that there is no reason to over-react.

He is a very articulate man and totally unmoved by social media stuff – he is highly experienced and has been emphatic that all will be well.”

He has been spending much time with Roberto who, whilst disappointed with his form, remains entirely confident that he will recover to top form as the Hammers look at a tricky run of form.

Our source said: “He’s determined to get on top of things and although he has had a hand in several of the goals he is yet to be beaten in one on ones at various times.

“His confidence has taken a bit of a bashing but he remains strong and is determined to get things right.”

  1. And the remarks in this article in itself does not bring confidence at all to me as a supporter.
    – “Manuel is a very cool customer privately and publicy. Tells me the man is oblivious to the extreme dire position the team is in. Anothe lose or 2 puts us straight into relegation mode. Confidence will be hard to build, as well as good form.
    – “He has been spending much time with Roberto” Another horror statement. Any good manager can see that at this age, you cannot sharpen a keeper any more to be “Premier League standard” You either got it … or not. And Roberto definitely does not have it.
= We can only home and … pray, really !!!!

  2. He has to say that hes confident in his tactics and playing staff. This is quite common practice for most professional clubs when having a hard time.

This doesnt mean that Pelle isn’t privately thinking that he needs some new blood. Although why he wont change the failing tactics is another story.

  3. Lol – the man is deluded !!
Another couple of spankings and we’ll see how confident he is then.
He has assembled the most unbalanced squad I can ever remember – never seen so many square pegs in round holes – has he heard of the word “pace” ? Perhaps someone should tell him you need it to play football at any level.
See ya later Manuel – go back to Chile and retire !!

  4. He has to be given time , everything was Rosey not so long ago . I think he can get the team up and he had also said they need unity. If they work hard together they will get out of this . Play as a team with desire and passion and support each other . We do have some decent players , so if they all pull together with MP I think we can still finish 7/8 place . They need to believe in themselves & the right attitude , so come on let’s be positive rather then look at the blame game .All we should do as fans is support them , cheer them on as that sends positive vibes the players will pick up on . I hope that MP and the team sort it & good luck , let’s get that winning mentality back. COYI ⚒⚒⚒

  5. I just dont get why one would spend more time with the failing (flailing) keeper unless the #3 is so poor he shouldn’t be at the club at all.
