Manuel Pellegrini has ruled out bringing in fellow countryman Claudio Bravo to West Ham this summer.
Pellegrini said he wouldn’t be making a move for is his compatriot, the Manchester City goalkeeper telling the Chilean media in a Live interview “Signing [Claudio] Bravo for West Ham is not viable either. It is not in West Ham’s salary possibilities.”
Manchester City signed Bravo from Barcelona for 18m euros (£15.4m) in 2106. The fee for the 35-year-old Chile international can rise with another £1.7m of add-ons. Bravo signed a four-year contract worth £100,000 per week basic wage with City.
Claret and Hugh understand Pellegrini has yet to decide whether the goalkeeper position will be a transfer priority this summer, he may decide to keep Adrian as his number one keeper bringing in back-up cover to replace Joe Hart who has returned to Manchester City.
Adrian has another year on his contract with West Ham with an option for another year.
