Manuel Pellegrini has warned that the Hammers must take Wolves very seriously, and not live on memories of the Chelsea victory.
Sixth placed Wolves have recovered from a shaky start and despite defeat at the hands of Sheffield United cannot be treated with anything other than great respect.
He said: “Last season they did very well and this season they’ve repeated it. I think that it is a tough team to play against away or at home.
It’s a team that believes in what they do. Fortunately for them they have had few injured players in their two years.
“We know that, the same as any other game in the Premier League, you need to play as an aggressive team with a hundred per cent concentration, with intensity because two or three balls will decide the score. We must play with the same mentality.”
Wolves imho have our measure, they sit deep and try and counter at pace or at least they have done every time we played them under Santos, Adama Traore will probably start. They are a tougher team for us to beat than Chelsea are because of their shape.
