Pellegrini’s top quote: ‘Anymore Mournho questions?’

|

Manuel Pellegrini – unsurprisingly – got a little edgy with the assembled media at his pre-Spurs match press conference after being asked no less than eleven comments on The Special One.

Well actually make that ‘The Argumentative One,’ or ‘The Sacked  One‘ or ‘The ‘I’ll Never Manage Spurs One.’

The queries posed by HM Press ranged from his personality, style of play, whether the pair of them liked each other,  that Mourinho this he is different and special, and a lot of other trivia from the transcript I received.

It was such inane nonsense that I chose to ignore it until now as  became clear sthat tomorrow’s match is about one thing and one thing only as far as the ancient press  (whoops, sorry, written press) is concerned.

His name is Mourinho – who claimed at his own press conference when discussing his favourite topic that he was a humble man and always had be. It was just the rest of us who had failed to understand that.

Add to that list of titles: ‘The Humble One.’

From what’s gone before we understand the only serious interest as far as written press is concernedin the game is 1/ the Portugeezer first 2/ the Spurs performance and a bad 3rd West Ham.

Pellegrini’s response to all of this as they ran out of questions towards the end was “Are there anymore questions about Mourinho “ before disappearing from their reach.

Good response because we are into overkill country 24 hours before the match starts and what the events of yesterday proved for me was that all the pressure is being heaped onto the new Spurs old face new boss and his charges.

Good news for the Hammers?

Yes! But whether they can take advantage is another matter all together.
