Perez proving value for money

Lucas Perez is turning out to be very good value for money!

Many believe it is a given the former Arsenal man will be on his way this summer, but in terms of goals to transfer fee return he is a better bet than any of the other three – Arnautovic, Caroll or Chicharito.

Claretandhugh has studied the goal records against transfer fees of the four strikers for this season and Perez has come out way on top on any of them.

We can only base it on this season, but in those terms, he is certainly a player worth keeping.

Perez has come up with 6 goals this season for us, at 675k a goal, whereas his fellow strikers  have come in with far worse than that.

Chicharito – at a 16 million transfer fee – has scored  9 goals at a cost  of 1.8m each whilst Arnautovic has come in with 8 goals at £3m per goal.

Meanwhile Carroll (£16 million)  has managed just one goal in 14 games.

  1. You will also notice that he is the most prolific in terms of goals per minutes played!

  2. Need to start him against the Spurs…..

  3. Can’t wait for next season with a full & fit Squad . + any sold and or transferred in .
Things look as though they starting to come together . God knows we’ve waited long enough .

  4. Disagree! Perez has few touches per game ! He is not PL standard & not good enough for Hammers’ squad place.

  5. The problem with Perez is he doesn’t involve himself enough in the game and at times it’s like playing a man light. While he can clearly finish, he’s not a starter, but at 4m, I think he’s worthy of coming off the bench more regularly.

  6. From the way he is played MP uses him as an impact sub when we need to score, he is a goal poacher but in general he has a long way in terms of workload to go to be a first team starter.
