Perfect way for the Irons to say farewell to fans

West Ham found the perfect way to say farewell to the fans for this season with a great London Stadium display.

And despite two goal Marko Arnautovic being awarded the man of the match of the award there was no question in my mind that Mark Noble was the star performer pulling all the strings in midfield and barely giving away a ball.

The Hammers took the lead via an Arnie’s goal from the captain’s superb pass before the striker grabbed a second after the break and Ryan Fredericks popped home his first for the club.

The quality of this team – stripped of Anderson and Rice through illness – has really begun to show over the last few weeks and the reality is the campaign is ending at entirely the wrong time.

The boss even had the opportunity of using Wilshere, Sanchez and Perez as subs late on and each of them did well in a team which was playing some terrific  stuff.

Running Nobes a close second in my book for mom was Pedro Obiang who is either playing for a move or another deal. Quite where he has been hiding this quality we will never know.

Grady Diangana was excellent giving perhaps his most mature performance of the season and apart from 20 minutes at the start of the second period we were in complete control.

We go to Watford for the final game in good heart and ready to break the 50 points barrier for the season.

Quality game and it’s hard not to be looking forward to next season right now.
