Player deferrals – the fans react

News that the Hammers have taken a pay deferral which we understand to be in the region of £25 per cent and that the board plans a £30 million rights issue has been applauded by the fans.
Here’s some random responses from the Claretandhugh FB group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/

O Stick that where the sun doesn’t shine Spuds. Very proud of everyone at WHUFC you have shown what a brilliant club we support.
O My chest just swelled when I read that! So proud to be supporting a club in east London – rather than north London
O Usually not the biggest fan of our leadership – but credit where credit is due. #COYI#Together
O I have been waiting (and hoping) for this statement for a few days now. Proud of the players and the board Let’s hope we can use the  situation to come out stronger together.
O A genuine good news story and positive PR exercise from the club. They said it would never happen!!
O Fair play to all! 👍

  1. Its a deferral? The board still have to pay where revenue is lost!
I was hoping for a sacrifice ro be honest like the rest of the world have to endure.

  2. Spot on Andy …deferral means they really give up diddly squat.

  3. I am pleased we have declared early
And it will no doubt help but I for one
Would have preferred a cut in pay
that would have showed we might only
be West Ham every bodies second club
hate but we are proper people
I hope everyone now shows a little more respect for the board as there actions may leave us in a stronger position than many other clubs
And may everybody’s god be with them in
    these tragic times🙏
