Player exclusion could give hint for Arsenal game

|

Hammers midfielder Nathan Holland was left out of West Ham’s Under 23 squad as they drew 3-3 with Fulham’s Academy on Friday night.

Holland travelled with the first-team squad to Wolves midweek and was named on Pellegrini’s matchday squad on the bench at the Molineux Stadium. The 21-year-old came on as a 71st-minute substitute in the two-nil away defeat against Wolves.

Born in Manchester, the youngster started with Everton’s Academy before joining the Hammers in January 2017 on a three and a half contract. He first made his first-team debut in September 2017 in the League Cup against Bolton Wanderers as a 62nd substitute.Nathan

Holland along with teammate Bernardo Rosa have been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for November.

His absence from the under 23 side appears to be a hint that he is in Manuel Pellegrini’s plans for the first-team squad on Monday as West Ham faces Arsenal at the London Stadium.
