Areola:6 I hardly noticed him, which is exactly what any goalkeeper would want. A  tangle with Kehrer could have proven costly.

Kherer:5 Immediately in trouble as he was outpaced and out muscled. I’ve taken to watching Kehrer from behind the sofa. Improved as the game went on.

Ogbonna:7 Angelo seems to be enjoying his his new role at the heart of a back three.

Aguerd:8 A class operator. Looked like an international playing against a League One team. I’ve already run out of superlatives for this outstanding footballer.

Johnson:6 Grew into the game. A player who clearly enjoys defending. Put the best bits of Johnson and Emerson together and you’d have a very good wing-back. Could have conceded a penalty.

Emerson:7 Decent enough when West Ham are attacking, not so good at the defending part. Gets dribbled past far too easily but has good technique.

Soucek:7 Started the game well with a tackle to bail out Kehrer and provided the assist for Bowen with a cute header.  Very committed performance.

Downes:8 Great tackle set up an early counter attack for Bowen, he then repeated the trick five minutes later to set up Bowen. Dominated the midfield and was always instructing and orchestrating.

Fornals:6 Peripheral figure for most of the game, then squandered a good chance following good work from Antonio. Worked hard as always.

Bowen:8 Continued his goal scoring form with a the first goal of the game. Turned provider for The Hammers second goal.

Antonio:8 Blasted wide early on but had a hand in the West Ham opener with a lofted pass to Soucek. Scored our second goal early in the second half. Looked fit and motivated with some excellent touches.

Benrahma:7 63rd min substitute for Michail Antonio. Immediately up to the pace of the game with a smart pass to set-up Bowen. Give the left side some much needed zip and urgency.

Cresswell: On for Emerson in the 77th min

Mubama: Replaced Bowen as part of a double substitution.
