Plea interest looks marginal

|

West Ham are today being linked with Nice striker Alassane Plea with the suggestion being they are in a battle with Newcastl for his signature.

However, with pressing matters at the back and in midfield it seems unlikely that director of football Mario Husillos is following through on the player as a matter of urgency.

Plea has certainly been a target for Newcastle and the Hammers are now being mentioned as possible suitors for the him after he is reported not to have turned up for training yesterday.

The 25 year old  played 36 top-flight games last season, scoring 16 goals but the Hammers interest in hism seems marginal at best at this stage.

Boss Manuel Pellegrini plans to use Chicharito and Marko Arnautovic as his front line pairing this season with Andy Carroll also available as back up.
