In a statement on their website they say a 20-year-old man was arrested for throwing bottles at police officers at the scene and he has been released on bail until August.

Commander BJ Harrington, of the Met’s Public Order team, said: “Behaviour of the kind we saw before Tuesday’s match is totally unacceptable. The vast majority of people were well-behaved, but we are looking to deal with a small minority of individuals who committed criminal acts.”

Cmdr Harrington added: “This was always going to be a challenging match to police, with passions running high. Aware of those challenges, we had more officers on duty than is normal. I am proud of my officers who did a fantastic job in difficult circumstances and played their part in enabling those supporters who respected the occasion to enjoy what was an historic event.”

Two men, aged 18 and 47, arrested for pitch incursion have been bailed until later this month.

Meanwhile the police have released images of four men they want to interview in connection with the incident. Cmdr Harrington said “We are working closely with both clubs to bring these individuals to justice, and I would urge anyone who recognises the men in these pictures to contact police.”

I notice that none of them are wearing West Ham shirts, are they Millwall or Spurs fans, find out when they arrest the buggers.

Police should have made a cooridor for the bus anyway but no excuses for throwing things at the bus, throw the book at them when they find them. Certainly not Hammers.

why did the bus turn up so late and it is not the first time they did this i do hope they find the but Rooney giving it large and the bus delaying the match is ****en wrong and thay should take some of the blame

  • bubs says:

Just watched the other 2 videos and the Liverpoor Villarreal bus was twice as bad and again the players onboard were laughing,
The city United bus was as much damage but not so many fans involved,
Yes unpleasant but come on old bill and reporters move on,the incident was caused by many factors and there were no bad injuries,
Seen the one on bottom left on TV the undateables did not know it was Bellend though,
