Poll and Parkes boosts for iconic Hammer Noble

NobesMark Noble has today received a massive double boost in his iconic West Ham status.

The Hammer of the Year is currently holding a massive lead in a ClaretandHugh Poll asking whether the club needs a new captain.

The midfelder has grabbed 78 per cent of the poll with current skipper Kevin Nolan in a bad second with just eight per cent.

And former heroic goalkeeper of the 70s Phil Parkes – as he signed up to become a regular presenter  on the CandH’s soon-to-be-launched podcast – declared: “Mark’s already a club legend.”

Phil  – who is recovering well from a bowel cancer operation – said: “There are very very few like Mark around in the game these days – he will become a club legend. In fact I reckon he is already.

“In the old days it was perhaps easier to remain a one club man but such is the situation now that it becomes easier to move on given the financial inducements.

“But Mark is a guy who you just can’t visualise at any other club.  He’s a great player and a great bloke. I love him to bits.”
