West Ham’s equaliser came courtesy of a Javier Hernandez hand ball but was it accidental or intentional from the Mexican striker?
Jamie Carragher told Sky Sports viewers ‘His reaction was telling, how long he stayed on the ground, week after week there’s arguments, debates about diving, cheating, whatever it may be. That’s exactly the same. He knows exactly what he’s doing punching the ball in at the back post. ‘Is it cheating? Is it gamesmanship? It’s cheating. He knows exactly what he’s doing. Would I complain if my own striker did it? Probably not. ‘VAR would clear that up. It was a blatant handball from Hernandez and it’s completely changed the ascendancy of this game.’
TV replays show it was impossible for the referee to see the handball and even TV pundits needed several replays to confirm that it was in-fact a hand ball infringement.
In today’s Claret and Hugh poll we ask whether Hernandez punched the ball in the back of the intentionally or whether it just bounced off his hand?
No way was it blatant.he went to head it and it hit his arm and went in.how many fulham players appealed..none because it was so hard to tell even with replays.
As for carragher who i don’t mind normally.i thought was a bell end last night as he never stopped going on about it…funny how he never seems to condone salah diving most weeks for his beloved Liverpool
We don’t agree on much Irons!
Let’s be honest. Hernandez cheated. It’s nothing unusual, he cheats every game. He is always throwing himself to the ground or his arms in the air.
“….funny how he never seems to condone salah diving most weeks for his beloved Liverpool”. Isn’t that a good thing if he doesn’t condone Salah diving???
I don’t like Carragher. I don’t have much time for anyone who spits at people, particularly young girls. He should have been sacked.
