Poll: Do you have confidence in Pellegrini?

West Ham fans are losing confidence in Manuel Pellegrini to get the team’s season back on track.

After a defeat against Newcastle at the London Stadium morale is sinking with the team now on a run on five Premier League games without a win.

And the concession of three goals against the Geordies hit the fans in their collective solar plexus yesterday with the team continuing to slide down the table.

ClaretandHugh ran a poll after the game which simply asked whether the fans had confidence in the manager to sort out the issues.

Oh, and for the cynics , nobody asked us to run the poll.

So far over 1300 have voted with 66.19 per cent (920) giving a vote of no confidence whilst 470 (33.81 per cent) believe he will get it right

  1. I have lost confidence, and wonder if he is losing the dressing room. We have good players but they need play for each other and not for themselves

  2. The players obviously have no confidence in MP and that is reflected in the performances of the last 5 / 6 games.
Each and everybody needs to sit down tomorrow, speak their minds and come to a collective agreement about how to go forward.

  3. The squad is still no good enough at the back. We have no back up for Fab, and Anderson has no confidence. MP has not been great in the transfer market, but I think most of our troubles are still down to the players.

  4. I believe that the time is up for Manuel Pellegrini. But, can we afford to get rid of him and who do we get to take his place? Personally, I think the problem goes deeper than the manager. I think we were all expecting great things from Pellegrini as he had already won the Premiership with Man City and done well all over the world. But we are lacking a much deeper talented squad of players who are effective enough to change the game if they are bought on at some point in the game. For some reason Pellegrini is reluctant to put his trust in our younger players, specially the under 23’s who before last Friday had not lost a game so far this season. I’m sure the club owners were also expecting great things from Pellegrini. But it hasn’t happened yet and I don’t think it will. Rotating the players who take to the pitch on match day is all very well if you have a good enough squad to rotate. Sadly we haven’t. The owners need to make a statement of intent and sack our present manager before the January transfer window and get another manager in and give him the funds to improve the squad in January. At the moment the Pellegrini management scheme isn’t working.
