Poll: How much money do West Ham need to spend this summer?

As the season end draws closer, thoughts about the summer transfer window will start taking form at the club and among supporters.

The Hammers spent a record £89.5m last summer, spending way beyond their means and this summer could be a real struggle unless the Hammers sell to buy. With a loss of at least £25m forecast, this financial year that ends in May the Hammers are thought to have budgeted between £20m-£25m in the transfer kitty plus whatever they can raise from outbound sales which could bump up the transfer budget considerably.

In today’s Claret and Hugh poll we ask you how much money Manuel Pellegrini needs to spend this summer to improve his squad.

  1. What kind of fan votes for nothing to be spent? Perhaps they prefer the thrill of the relegation dogfight or would rather be playing in the championship. Personally I will take the maximum amount of transfer budget possible thanks. Quality not quantity though. I would rather we bought three top quality players than ten bang average ones.
