Poll: Iron of the year

West Ham will soon be running their Hammer of the year contest which will be announced at the annual players awards gala event.

Claret and Hugh are running a poll this week to find your Iron of the year this season which will give a good indication who will triumph in the Hammer of the year and the runner-up spots.

  1. Dimitri Payet: Hammer of the year, PL player of the year, new King of France and best player of the galaxy… lol 😉

    • You mean the player Wetpants would sell Matte??? 🙂

      • ahahah… yes Rads, that player… that player acquired for £11 mil., that player turned out to be a real crack, that player who’s currently the king of free kicks, that magic player… but maybe Wetpants are right, he’s useless, we need to get rid of him right now… lol 😀

  2. How could anyone not vote for payet. Not the King of France just yet as matte suggests but he comes from reunion where they speak the language of reunion creole. He is therefore “King creole” and maybe since Arsenal and Tottenham have stolen our achy breaky heart by bully Ray Cyrus song a new King creole by Elvis Presley song is waiting to be penned.

  3. My vote goes to.. Collins! I’ve been a huge critic of Ginge, but without him we concede too much and not conceding in football is as important as scoring goals.. and Dimi will win anyway 😉

  4. Fair call Ironhammer,we miss Ginge.Never expected to say that myself at the start of the season but it’s a fact now.

    • Missing Ginge and Song also imho Billy, Ginge and Ogbonna are the best cb pairing with Tompkins at RB but we have been missing the solidity in front of the back 4 that Song provides, if you look at the start of the season without Song we conceded stupid goals because the midfielders we have all want to bomb forward leaving a big hole in front of the CB’s and its been the same ever since they refused to let him play, if they had let him play we would be in CL positions now maybe as high as 2nd in the table which would have paid for his transfer fee and wages all in one go.

      • Nordveit coming in if he does will be Songs replacement I assume.Have a Norwegian friend who really doesn’t think too highly of him.Says he would be a reasonable free signing as a squad player in the Premiership but little more than that.Hope he is wrong.Mind you he is only a football supporter like us so I guess Bilic sees more in him than my mate does.

  5. Mikhail Antonio for me, Payet has had some great moments but not often enough – Antonio has been consistently good!

  6. I think it would be more appropriate for the club to just give it to Payet this year and allow us to vote for runner up! Had to Vote for Dimi, but if given a second vote it would definitely be Ginge or Antonio.

  7. Speedwell or Kouyate although Payet is class.

  8. The bard for me , I lurv his graft !! If only payet had his work rate ? Wow .
