Poll: Should West Ham increase their offer for Rondon?

Yesterday club insiders confirmed a Daily Star report that West Ham had a £10m plus Jordan Hugill and Sam Byram bid rejected. Today we ask whether should go back to West Brom and Slaven Bilic to increase their offer for the 29-year-old Venezuelan striker who is valued at £16.5m

  1. Absolutely not; in fact no offer at all should be made for this journeyman. Watch recordings of his past performances, especially for West Brom and see how many opportunities he fails to convert. Despite his size he just doesn’t have the physical presence of someone like Carroll.

  2. I live near Birmingham and have friends who are Baggies. When he was there they were spitting feathers about how useless Rondon was and they were glad to see him go up North. People can change I guess, but if we got Gomez and Arnie he’d be back-up at best and certainly we shouldn’t be paying a mega sum. If Yarmelenko’s free to play RW I’d rather have Antonio as third striker and spend the money at the back.

    • I was thinking exactly the same about Antonio being a back up striker if we are gonna need one next season.

We need one quality striker, Arnie will be coming on from the bench, or he can even be a starter. Despite his attitude issues and his brother intervening, this man knows how to score and he is calm on the ball.

Rondon would also increase our wage bill and I rather see this money either go to improving facilities, junior coaching or buying a hot prospect.

In January we should focus on a full back(left), someone young like 21-22, and the next transfer window we buy someone proven around 40-50 mil for this exact position, that would give us nice option to have if an injury occurs.

  3. No ,No, and definitely No please lets pursue Maxi Gomez and other such quality or are these names in the frame for false hope
