Poll verdict: Will the Hammers go down?

Despondent Hammers fans seem to believe the club is going down.

Despite a seemingly easier fixture list than the likes of Villa and Bournemouth our latest poll shows little confidence from ClaretandHugh followers that the the club can survive as a Premier League outfit.

A total of 1,666 voted and two third made it clear they believed the drop was inevitable as we head into the last few games of the season.

A  total of  1081 – 64.89 per cent gave the Hammers a thumbs down whilst only 585 believed we would stay afloat (35.11 per cent).

  1. Yes sadly I voted that I think we will go down – not that we want to obviously, but I don’t think it’s about fixtures left but the desire and guts in the team. Sadly even against Spuds there was a gulf between the desire of Rice / Bowen and the hapless ‘skill’ players we have. Also – bad luck (var) is never welcome in a dogfight.

  2. I mean villa can score goals. we cant.

  3. We were destined to fail with the hierarchy at West Ham and their history.Maybe from the ashes we might regenerate with players that are young and have a real desire to wear our jumper. If we do go down will we ever get back?

  4. We have to clutch at straws – in Moyes first spell the first win came against all expectations vs Chelsea with Arnie as the converted striker – hopefully we can have a repeat against Chelsea who have an FA cup tie in between

I think in this post Covid world relegation would be a massive disaster and it might take years to get back to teh Premier league
