Poll: What would make a successful transfer window

|

Manuel Pellegrini is reported to have a war chest of £30m plus the proceeds of outbound sales this summer.

With Lucas Perez seemingly on the brink of a sale for £2.2m, Reece Oxford likely to be sold for £3.4m and Javier Hernandez possibly going £8m this would raise funds in excess of £43m.

Today we ask Claret and Hugh readers what would make a successful summer transfer window in your eyes?

Spending any amount wisely is the preferred option. Having 100m plus player sales and spending it wisely is even better. I think we need to spend 80-100m. If we can generate 50-70m in player sales without selling a big player (except for Arnautovic) then brilliant, but I think at best we’ll get 30m in sales so I think the board need to up their investment by 20m.

All that said. If Pellegrini is genuinely happy with what he has to spend, I have no problem with it so I chose whatever keeps him happy.
