Poll: Which attacker should be dropped this weekend

It looks like Manuel Pellegrini will have another selection headache this weekend with Sebastien Haller and Felipe Anderson both returning from injury.

Manuel Lanzini and Pablo Fornals started last weekend against Brighton alongside Jack Wilshere with Javier Hernandez upfront. Michail Antonio came on for the second half at the Amex stadium to replace Jack Wilshere while Yarmolenko replaced Fornals with 15 minutes to go.

Assuming record signing Sebastien Haller replaces Hernandez up front this Saturday we ask you who you would drop from the attacking choices of Anderson, Lanzini, Fornals, Antonio and Yarmolenko?

Select no more than two players in today’s Claret and Hugh poll.

  1. Personally I like the balance and n the team with Yarmo and Anderson, would drop Antonio also which is harsh on him but Yarmo holds the ball well which away from home should help. The game shouldn’t define our season but it could kick start it as Watford are one of those that are in the mix with us.

  2. Don’t think Yarmo can play 90 mins yet. He is one of those long term injured players being gradually integrated. I think Fornals should be rested as just having him on the pitch is a waste of a place-he should watch the game from the bench and learn and maybe brought on for 20 mins or if any other player isn’t performing. We can’t afford to leave Antonio out as he was the difference for us in the 2nd half last week. He gives his all when he plays but after 70 mins he’s done in.Both Anderson and Lanzini have to play if fit-they are game changers for us but both like the same position- I would try them at 8 & 10 respectively.
