Pool old Winston!! Man Utd aren’t buying in Jan

Manchester United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward claims the club is unlikely to sign any new players in January so presumably that’s one down for Winston Reid’s hopes of a top four club this winter.
And even worse for the central defender is that Woodward said during a conference call to investors: “We have targets we are looking at for next summer and should any of those become available in January we would consider acting but we all need to recognise that is a low probability.”
Now, given the Hammers are ready to offload in January – and United could be expected to know that – it doesn’t sound great from the defender’s viewpoint.
United have been regularly linked with the Kiwi and may come back in the summer but there seems no great interest to beat any other interest in January.
