Kilman heads Hammers wanted list for potential swap deal
The talkSPORT report that West Ham United are poised to revive their interest in Wolves defender Max Kilman during this January transfer window is an intriguing story.
Particular given that Wanderers (alongside Southampton) have been showing serious interest in West Ham forward Danny Ings. As and added twist there is believed to be an interest in Hammers left back Aaron Cresswell from the midlands club. Cresswell almost made the move during the summer window but the £2m transfer fell through at the last minute.
26-year-old Kilman has had a decent season at the Molineux, delivering a series of commanding performances in the heart of Wolves’ defence. Kilman has netted once in 21 appearances for the West Midlands club across various competitions this campaign.
He scored a goal in the 3-0 triumph against Everton in the Premier League. It’s also ironic that former Hammer Craig Dawson was also on the scoresheet, making the potential move of a Wolves defender in the opposite direction intriguing.
West Ham’s interest in bolstering the squad with homegrown talent supports the pursuit of Kilman. The central defender seems well-suited to David Moyes’ style with his robust and physical defending.
Despite Kilman being under contract at Wolves until the summer of 2028.
