West Ham United are stepping up efforts to strengthen their midfield and are reportedly preparing a second bid for OH Leuven’s Ezechiel Banzuzi, according to ExWHUEmployee.

The Hammers recently had a bid rejected for the 19-year-old, but newly-appointed manager Graham Potter has given the green light to pursue the talented midfielder. However, the Belgian club are firm on their £12m valuation.

Potter is keen to add players suited to his philosophy as he works to bolster his injury-hit squad. Having taken a hands-on approach to transfers, the West Ham boss is prioritising both an attacker and a pacey midfielder before the window closes, which has been confirmed to Claret & Hugh.

Banzuzi has impressed this season, providing five assists in 21 Belgian Pro League appearances. The Dutch-born midfielder, who progressed through NAC Breda’s youth academy, has also represented the Netherlands at Under-21 level.

The Hammers are determined to position themselves as front-runners for his signature but need to get a wriggle-on following numerous unsuccessful forays into the transfer market during the current window.

Sullivan is arrogant and has no ability to run a football club. He low balls everyone and we get the dregs and players no one else wants . Nothing will change while he is in charge. I have absolutely no doubt that the Duran farce is another attempt to placate the fans . If Villa had said yes the dwarf would have peed his pants and found a reason not to go ahead . The circus goes on !!

I used to think slow learners. Now I realise Sullivan just doesn’t want to learn, or doesn’t think he needs to learn. Other clubs snap up these players and prosper – the Brightons, the Brentfords, and more recently the Fulhams pick up the gems, get value from them and in most cases make a terrific profit after a few years.
I’m sick of the way the conduct business.

You can also add Bournemouth, Villa and Nottingham Forest to that list, all thriving whilst we’ve been in decline and it’s solely down to our majority share holders inability to have any insight or astute business sense. Nothing will change until he’s replaced.

This kid gets a few assists in a second rate league and then asks for 12mil.
Earthy and Potts are Pacey and probably double the figures in that league but we won’t play them?

”Here-We-Go-Again” if the past windows are anything to go by, they won’t 12 mill knowing us we’ve offered a low-ball offer of 6 mill. just like we did for Jonh Duran last summer ??? we wouldn’t be in the sh it-state we are now if we’d of payed Villa what they wanted 45 mill half of what they want know. and them 12 goals he’s scored would have seen us looking in 5th or 6th place. ”Skinflints” C O Y I’s
