Potter replacement | West Ham Fan favourite reveals ‘his priority’ in massive Hammers hint

Wit the Crystal Palace game looking more and more pivotal in West Ham’s and Graham Potter’s future – albeit for different reasons, this weekend sees the club heading for crucial events on, and off the pitch.

The supporter protest gathers pace with the planned march ahead of the game designed to be a show of strength to Sullivan and Brady whilst on the pitch a beleaguered West Ham manager will surely face an exit with another defeat and a performance as poor as last weekend.

Already spoken about as a Potter successor, owing to his availability  and Premier League expertise, Nuno Espírito Santo’s priority has been revealed today according to respected footie journalist Neil Goulding – as reported by sportsboom.co.uk:

Exclusive: Linked With West Ham, Nuno Espirito Santo Keen to Jump Back Into Premier League Management: Former Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espírito Santo, recently sacked, is eager for a new challenge. Despite his short tenure, he has been linked with taking over at West Ham. His priority is staying in the Premier League.”

Which is almost as good as saying ‘come and get me’ to the Hammers’ Chairman who might find Espírito Santo a tempting ‘free’ replacement for Graham Potter, yet Sullivan will have to cede all of the power over player transfers to the Portuguese manager who insists on having both hands on the control column at any club he goes to.

Sounds perfect. Nuno’s playing style might not suit the purists but compared with Potter’s impression of a Rabbit in the headlights with no plan, most Hammers fans would settle for points on the board and making the Hammers hard to beat- if it keeps them in the Premier league.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

That is what I have already said, a couple of days ago. This club CANNOT take relegation. It is as simple as that. I don’t care if it is Espírito Santo, or anyone else. But, somebody, please save WHU from the Championship !

Not related, but not sure how else to communicate it: Are you not going to run a story on the U21s outstanding 1-5 victory at the MK Dons yesterday?

I went and they were superb, and demonstrated the understanding of a well drilled team. There is without doubt, a crop of youngsters who we should be incredibly excited about seeing very soon.

    The following were standouts:
Mayers and Golambeckis (CB’s which we have some dodgy first teamers), Earthy, Potts, Kante (has real presence in the middle), Fearon (what a player!), and Marshall (the new Jamie Vardy, he just does not stop running, chasing without the ball, and he doesn’t stop moving when we have the ball)

I have to say, if Steve Potts and Mark Robson can engineer the kind of understanding and play that these guys showed last night they would be a good shout to replace Potter. Maybe, our answers to all our prayers are already inside the club!

Whatever happens, Sullivan needs to keep his nose out of footballing affairs for which he has no knowledge. The only way this club can ever move forward is for him to sod off ( unlikely) or just to keep his nose out, for which he finds problematical.
Can’t see a manager of any calibre wanting the job with Sullivan continually poking his nose in.
