As the West Ham window moves from the ‘phoney war’ towards the ‘real deal’, an acceleration of interest in players ‘for sale’ such as Kudus, Emerson and Aguerd means that the Hammers’ plans for acquisitions might actually be about to sputter into life.
Early bird clubs have already signed some of the prime targets – and with just two weeks before pre-season kicks off, time is of the essence. This was always going to be a challenge with the West Ham board dictating that the club must ‘sell to fund purchases’, which is why so many West Ham fans have been voicing increasing concerns that players will be lucky to arrive before the August season start, let alone for pre-season next month.
One of the more controversial picks would seem likely now to become another ‘miss’ is saints goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale– with reported interest now from Galatasaray who would of course offer Champions League football to the English keeper.

Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale could be heading back to Champions League football after being relegated for a third time!
Graham Potter is likely to have his had forced if the Southampton stopper is another one crossed off his wish list.
Not a great loss, many will say – and the reports linking Leicester City’s wholly more exciting Dane Mads Hermansen with a West Ham transfer are altogether more appealing for Potter and for the supporters.
We’ll all wish Ramsdale well and wave ‘the relegator‘ as he’s been dubbed owing to his three demotions back to the Championship-goodbye and hope that good news follows regarding Leicester’s young talent. Or else west Foderingham could be the only competition for Alphone Areola which is indeed a worrying prospect.
Let’s be honest, the way the club is being run if it wasn’t for contracts players would be leaving like rats on a sinking ship! If we are that badly in debt maybe a couple of years in the championship is where we should go.
Why is West Ham the only premiership club to suffer from PSR regulations.
Selling Upton Park we as a club have nothing to bargain with we own nothing in regards to assets and all we can do is sell players so we will be every other teams conveyor belt and supply Premiership experienced players…… we have nothing and other clubs are aware of that and will continue to raid our club. Crystal Palace can sell 43% if their club for $190 million not sure of our valuation but it would be nowhere near what Sullivan and his misfits think. We have a billionaire owner more interested in postage stamps and another owner who only shops in the players version of poundland. Sullivan and the current board need to leave as we need to clear out deadwood and players and I guess that will require a visit to the championship to rebuild!
How’s our young Hungarian international goalie, Hegyi doing? Is he a better choice than Foderingham?
