Dimitri Payet has created the biggest stir in recent  West Ham history with rave reports coming in from inside and outside the dressing room.

The French superstar  showed his amazing abilities at Southend last weekend and made it clear he wants to be involved throughout pre-season.

That must give him a real chance of starting again against Birkirkara on Thursday evening when we go out looking to increase the 1-0 first leg advantage.

In the meantime Diego Poyet has been singing the play maker’s praises to the high heavens.

He told the official website:  “What a player. Some of us had seen him play in the past, for others it was the first time.
