Poyet’s Manchester United hope

|

Diego PoyetDiego Poyet is keep his fingers crossed he gets the Old Trafford call for the weekend game against Manchester United.

Former Hammers striker, League manager and ClaretandHugh’s top analyst Leroy Rosenior has told this site today that he would play Mauro Zarate at the tip of the diamond in Cheikhou Kouyate’s absence through injury.

But Poyet is justifiably hopeful that he could get the the shout for a game from which the Hammers  remain hopeful of taking points despite being linked with a possible loan move away from the Boleyn.

Poyet is not worried about making his debut in front of 75,000 people at Old Trafford and vows to give his all for his new club.

Quoted in London 24 via the official site, the 19 year old said: ““There are lots players so the gaffer has a lot of options to use players in different positions, should he wish to change the formation or anything.

“Obviously, it was very sad to see Cheikhou get injured and I was talking to him on Tuesday to try to help him to keep calm and positive. I hope he is back as soon as possible.

“If there is a place available and I get his place, then I will stay the same, work hard every day and do what I can.”
