Predictions: Lawro v West Ham fans

Its that time of the week where we put BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson up against West Ham fans.

Lawro told his BBC website readers: “This feels like a big game for West Ham, as a test of their top-four aspirations, and I think the underlying message from their manager David Moyes will be ‘let’s not lose it’. All his side need to do is stay in the mi

Moyes did not quite get the balance right last week when West Ham lost at Old Trafford, so he might tweak a few things to ensure they offer more of a threat.

It will be interesting to see how Arsenal approach it too. They were attack-minded against Tottenham last week, and were rewarded with the three points.

Lawro’s prediction: 1-1

West Ham fan predictions:

Filmmaker and animator Canning Town Len also says “1-1 two evenly matched teams. Evenly matched result”

West Ham till I die founder and LBC radio host Iain Dale says “2-0 to West Ham with Behrama getting his first goal. About time too!”

Moore Than Just A Podcast presenter Nigel Kahn says “Big win for West Ham 10-0 Fabianski hat trick Moyes greatest day”

West Ham Till I Die blogger David Hautzig “West Ham lose 1-3. We are due for a downturn in fortunes, and the lacklustre performance at Old Trafford will be the catalyst. Oh. Gotta go with the trends.”

Moore Than Just A Podcast founder George Bucci says “4-0 to West ham Coz we are massive!”

Stelios from Irons United “We haven’t won four premier league home matches in a row since May 2002, under Glenn Roeder. Moyes will have done his history and this won’t have passed him by. The motivation will be there. 2-1 to West Ham United”

ITK EXWHUEmployee says “2-1 to West Ham. I think although Arsenal are starting to look a bit better recently they are not the side they once were and I hope with Lingard back in the team we should be able to edge this”

Gonzo from Hammers Chat  “1-1 draw Jesse Lingard returns and should add much-needed bite to the Hammers attack. Arsenal are in good form but prone to individual errors at the back so West Ham must press their defence.”

Claret and Hugh Associate Editor Sean Whetstone  says “1-0 to the Hammers, Arsenal have returned to form but I fancy us to nick this one by one goal”
