Home advantage could be completely lost in empty Premier League stadia if the Bundesliga is anything to go by
The German top-flight league has played 3 rounds of fixtures so far with only five home wins from twenty-nine fixtures
In the first week of return just Borussia Dortmund could manage a home win with three draws and five away wins recorded.
Last weekend saw two home wins with Hertha Berlin and Bayern Munich the only two teams to win at home
There were six away wins and two draws that weekend.
This week has not changed that trend with just two home wins mid-week with Fortuna Dusseldorf and Hoffenheim managing wins.
There were three away wins and five draws this week including one game on Friday.
With a home win rate of 17.2% so far something strange is happening in Germany, the away win rate of 48.2% makes it more puzzling!
Do home supporters have that much impact?
Yep I see where your coming from Sean but if this season does conclude which it looks like the “money men”have come to the opinion it must .then we as WHU have just got to get on with as all.the other 19 have too..it pains me to.be playing behind closed doors and at neutral venues..but it we go down the points per game malarkey. .at least this way we have got 90 mins or a bit more to seal our fate..not at the fingers of a computer operation
We should have an advantage home and away because the players are used to playing home games with a reduced atmosphere due to fans proximity to the pitch
