West Ham are rumoured to have named their price for selling Crysencio Summerville this summer if reports from Italy are to be believed.
The Dutch winger’s form has tailed off in recent weeks (who’s hasn’t?) but he is still widely regarded as one of the Hammers’ better players and there is understood to be interest from AS Roma.
Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport has now claimed to know the fee West Ham would supposedly accept.
“€40 million. That’s exactly the price West Ham would pay to release Crysencio Summerville, especially if the Hammers were relegated to the Championship.”
West Ham Have Not Named Any Prices
However, it is Claret & Hugh’s understanding that absolutely no asking prices have currently been set for any West Ham player and there have been no discussions with other clubs at this stage.
There are also no agents presently working on behalf of West Ham in any organised transfer capacity and there remains enormous uncertainty surrounding the club.
Until it becomes clear which division the Hammers will be playing in next season — and what the ownership structure of the club will actually look like — meaningful transfer discussions are unlikely to progress very far.
Summerville Future Still Dependent On Relegation Outcome
As for Summerville himself, it’s fairly obvious he would likely look to leave the London Stadium should West Ham suffer relegation.
But realistically, there is nothing remotely surprising or new about that.
