Priority List hopefuls could face disappointment

|

OSThe majority of the West Ham Olympic Stadium Priority List are likely to face disappointment next season as demand completely outstrips supply.

Over 20,000 Hammers fans have paid a £10 non refundable fee to join a priority waiting list but, with with 35,000 season tickets forecast to be sold by the end of December, it is believed as few as 5,000 season tickets will be available for the 20,000 plus strong list.

The club released a statement yesterday trying manage expectations by stating:

“The Club have pledged to do all they can to help as many Hammers fans as possible get a Season Ticket, but, as there are now several times as many fans on the Priority List as Season Tickets available, it is imperative that any supporter on the Priority List attends their Reservation Centre appointment when they are offered one next year.”

“Due to the unprecedented demand, the Club can confirm that in the event that any member of the Priority List does not get an appointment at the Reservation Centre for next season, they will be offered the chance to join the Priority List for Season Tickets for the 2017/18 season.”

So there will be 15,000 UN-happy hammers, this makes me sad…. maybe they should open the 12,000 closed off seats ?

I would like to know why the club didn’t shut of applications when the limit was met !!
It should be first come first served !! If not its open for debate if it could be bent!!!!!
How could this happen ? And its unrefundable ???
You’re having a laugh !? Its like flash harry at st trinians doing a scam ???

I dont remember being told it non-refundable and as Dainon says if the demand is there open the other seats and have a full house..

  • It does say non refundable in their terms and conditions and I checked that with the club, they say it is a life time priority list so in theory you will remain on the waiting list forever or until you are offered a season ticket at the Olympic Stadium

  • Saboteur says:

there’s probably going to be more than 15’000 disappointed fans on the list, as everyone that gets the chance to buy a season ticket can also bring 2 others with them who don’t have to even be on the list, if this option was taken up by the first 1667 reservations it would exceed the 5000 mark,

    but I guess that’s life
