Private jet for Kouyate

KouyThe Hammers sent a private jet to collect Chiek Kouyate from the  African Nations Cup Tournament after Senegal were eliminated.

The club had expected to bring him back within  48 hours but manager Sam Allardyce revealed they had to  get their skates on to achieve that.

The manager said: “We knew where he was, but had trouble finding him. I think it was the usual lack of organisation to get people on planes, so we had to sort it out.

“We have two other clubs and stumped up for a private jet to bring six players back. The chairmen were good enough to get together and share the cost and get them home.”

If Kouyate returns injury-free and not too fatigued then Allardyce confirmed he will come into consideration for the trip to Liverpool.

  1. And no doubt David Gold had a nice little earner by making one of his Learjet 45’s available. Good on him!

  2. well unless they intend to play him on the weekend – what a waste of money. In saying that – if he replaces Nolan for the Liverpool game – well spent!!

  3. LOL Toshi – just e mailed him to ask LOL
